Mental Health

“Going to a counselor or therapist when you’re feeling sad or overwhelmed should be as normal as going to the doctor when you have the flu. Let’s end the stigma about mental health.”

Many of us have heard this quote before and it’s time someone did something about it. We strive to foster an environment where you can feel normal and safe when dealing with mental health issues. Whether it’s just being able to talk to a licensed professional about an issue or just trust someone with your feelings, we’re here for you. It’s all part of our effort to provide comprehensive care to our patients, including mental health care.

We believe in making your mental health a priority. We also believe that in doing so will lead to better physical health. We treat all mental health issues in a safe, trusting space. Client confidentiality is absolutely paramount to us. You can trust that you’ll be treated properly and professionally by our staff.

Most of us learn and develop coping skills to combat mental health issues when they arise. However, some issues are more difficult than others and no two people are alike. That’s where our mental health team comes in. We have two main jobs: Number one is to listen to you. That’s it. We want to know and understand what you’re experiencing and going through. Number two is to empower you. As mental health professionals we don’t attempt to “fix” our patients. We’re here to provide you with the skills and tools to combat mental illness.

Of course we’re here to help you overcome anything you’re dealing with or suffering from. We just want to be honest and transparent with your right out of the gate. We want to help you find long-term solutions. We want you to feel empowered to take control of your mental health. That means understanding preventative measures that can be taken as well as building a support system.

Bottom line is this: We take a deep interest in our patients and we care about them. We don’t rush to prescription medications or a quick fix. Here at Comprehensive Primary Care & Wellness Center, we seek to find the root causes and treat them. Your mental health should be made a priority, and that’s what we intend to do.
